Trip Overview: The Tropical Beach Shacks
This 5-day expedition is a curated journey through the two faces of Goa—the high-energy coastline of the North and the lush, spiritual heartland of the South and Central regions. From the legendary 17th-century Portuguese ramparts of Aguada and the cinematic heights of Chapora to the roaring white cascades of Dudhsagar Falls, this trail offers a profound look into the state’s vishalta. Witness the transition from the golden sands of Baga to the cobblestone streets of Panjim’s Latin Quarter and the sacred silence of UNESCO-listed cathedrals. It is a journey designed for those who seek the perfect balance of adventure, heritage, and the quintessential Goan “Susegad” spirit. https://www.incredibleindia.gov.in/en

Your Goan odyssey begins with a warm welcome at 1:00 PM as our representative picks you up from Dabolim (GOI), Mopa (GOX) Airport, or the Thivim Railway Station. After a smooth transfer to your hotel in North Goa and time to refresh, head out at 4:30 PM for a relaxed evening walk along the iconic sands of Calangute or Baga Beach. Watch the horizon turn golden as the sun dips into the Arabian Sea, and enjoy the vibrant energy of the beach shacks at your own pace. This first evening is designed to let you settle into the coastal rhythm before the grand exploration begins on the following day.
Start your day at 9:00 AM as we head toward the 17th-century Aguada Fort, a massive Portuguese fortification offering panoramic views of the sea and the lighthouse. After exploring the ramparts, descend to the pristine Sinquerim Beach located just below the fort for some quiet moments by the shore. Following a traditional lunch at a Goan shack, enjoy a scenic drive past the famous Anjuna and Vagator beaches, witnessing the rugged cliffs that define the northern coast. At 3:45 PM, we reach the legendary Chapora Fort, ensuring we enter before the strict 5:00 PM closing time, before returning to the hotel by 5:45 PM to meet the driver service deadline.
Prepare for a day of nature and adrenaline as we depart at 9:00 AM for Kulem, the base village for the mighty Dudhsagar Falls. Upon arrival at 11:00 AM, board a mandatory 4x4 Jeep for a thrilling 45-minute off-road drive through the Mollem National Park to reach the base of the massive milky-white falls. Spend your afternoon swimming in the natural pool under the cascading water (life jackets provided) before heading to a lush Spice Plantation. Here, enjoy a traditional Goan buffet lunch served on banana leaves and take a guided tour to see vanilla, cardamom, and pepper growing in the wild, returning to your hotel by 6:00 PM.
Dive into the spiritual and colonial heart of Goa starting at 9:00 AM with a visit to the UNESCO World Heritage sites in Old Goa. Explore the Basilica of Bom Jesus, which holds the relics of St. Francis Xavier, and the massive Se Cathedral, the largest church in Asia. After a visit to the sacred Shri Mangeshi Temple before its afternoon closing, enjoy lunch in Panjim and explore the colorful Latin Quarter of Fontainhas and Miramar Beach. Please note that the driver service ends at 6:00 PM at the Mandovi River Cruise Jetty; after enjoying the 6:00 PM Sunset Cruise, you can return to the hotel via a local taxi at your convenience.
On your final morning in the sunshine state, enjoy a leisurely breakfast and checkout from your hotel by 10:00 AM. We head toward the vibrant Panjim Market at 11:00 AM for some last-minute shopping where you can pick up authentic Goan cashews, local handicrafts, and traditional souvenirs. Take a final stroll through the capital city, soaking in the mix of modern and colonial architecture one last time. At 1:30 PM, our team will provide a smooth drop-off at the Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey, carrying with you the divine memories and the "Susegad" spirit of the coast back home.
